Caprarola, the winter location

The large square facing the famous Farnese Palace of Caprarola, and its historical stables now restructured, will be the fantastic location of the Winter Camp and “Caprarola In Jazz Festival” .
The building of the homonymous palace was commissioned by Alessandro Farnese (which later became pope Paul III) to architect Antonio da Sangallo which started the works around 1530.
After a period of interruption, the building work was ended by Alessandro Farnese (the nephew of Paul III) under the direction of the architect Jacopo Barozzi da Vignola.
Tuscia in Jazz holds its’ winter camp master classes in the palace’s renewed ancient stables. The location includes two concert halls and one theatre and bedrooms for 40 inmate students, with a breathtaking view on the surrounding countryside. Other students that will enrol later, will find accommodations in the close surroundings, in B&Bs or small pensions.
The same place also hosts the Hoteliers vocational school of Caprarola, our partner in organising an outstanding dinner in a large saloon, based on typical food wine and products of the Tuscia region, of course with live music in the background.
